Pop Culture Odds and Ends – September’s Here Edition

I legitimately cannot believe that it is September already. On the one hand, I am psyched since autumn is my favorite season and turning the calendar page means that Fall is right around the corner, bringing with it so many awesome things – football, playoff baseball, cider donuts, apple picking, new TV season, changing leaves, pumpkin flavored everything. On the other hand, even though I had a very fun summer, I feel like I didn’t do half of what I wanted to do. This happens every year – if you haven’t figured out yet, I like to be busy – but this year the summer seemed to go by especially quickly. All the rain didn’t help either. By the time I finally get adjusted to it being September, the month will be over.

But the changing of the seasons doesn’t slow down the flow of pop culture, so we’re back with another weekly installment of the pop culture roundup to summarize all the pop culture that you may have missed while cramming some activities into the last days of summer or prepping the kids to go back to school. It’s a crazy time of year, but don’t worry – I’ve got your pop culture needs covered.

Before we get to all the pop culture goodness, just a friendly reminder that I am blogging during the month of September to raise money for the Children’s Tumor Foundation in honor of my pal Connor, who has NF. If you enjoy the blog, please consider making a donation to the blog’s fundraising page. A huge THANK YOU to those that have already made a contribution; that really means the world to me and it will help out a very worthwhile cause.

Without further ado, here’s a look back at the last week in pop.
