Pop Culture Odds and Ends – Sharknado 3 edition

Hopefully y’all have your DVRs set, since Sharknado 3 will make landfall this evening. My only regret is that I’m not going to be home to watch it live with Twitter, which is really the optimal way to consume this nonsense. I can’t wait to see what ridiculous mayhem they’ll have planned when an inexplicable third Sharknado will hit another part of the country (this time Washington DC) where Ian Ziering and Tara Reid just so happen to be. If you’ve never watched any of these”it’s so bad, it’s good” movies, you’re really missing out. Jump right in with the third one – all you need to know is that a tornado of sharks is a thing that allegedly exists. There – you’re all caught up!

But until this theatrical masterpiece airs, you have a whole day to kill – which is where I come in with this week’s pop culture roundup. By now you know the drill – I’ve looked high and low to find you the best nuggets of pop culture information from the past seven days. So while the forecast has a Sharknado on the horizon, get yourself caught up on all the pop culture goodness that you might have missed.
