Pop Culture Odds and Ends – Veterans Day Edition

Today we thank the men and women who have served this country in the armed service and recognize the sacrifices that they and their families make to keep us all safe and protect our liberties. I am thankful for all that veterans have done – and getting a day off from work ain’t too shabby either. I hope that all the veterans out there – including my dad – have a great day and know how appreciated they are.

Today is also the day that I’m scheduled to get my cast off. It’s been a long six weeks and I sincerely hope that this means that I’m closer to things being back to normal. I’m cautiously optimistic that I won’t be on crutches by the end of the day. That would be amazing.

So there is a lot to celebrate today – and what better way to do that than with a pop culture roundup? I’ve surfed the Internet in search of the best nuggets of pop culture goodness from the last week. So thank a veteran and then kick back and relax while getting yourself caught up on some of the things you might have missed.
