Today is also Earth Day and while I’m definitely pro-Earth, as someone that has served some time as an Executive Assistant, Administrative Professionals’ Day is near and dear to my heart. Most Admins are the reason that most things get done, yet the often get very little recognition, so I think it’s nice that there is a day to pay tribute to all their efforts. Of course, most admins probably wind up buying their own flowers or reminding their bosses to take them out to lunch or the day goes by without comment, but they honestly deserve better. There are two people that you should become friendly with at any organization – the maintenance people and the Admins. They are the people that get shit done and they can make your life a whole lot easier or a whole lot more difficult. So be extra nice to any admins that you see today; they are the unsung heroes and probably put up with a lot of nonsense on a daily basis. Trust me on that.
Now on to the pop culture; once again this week I’ve cultivated the best that the web has to offer to catch you up on anything that you might have missed. No Admins were harmed in the creation of this roundup.
